#LikeArnie Feeding Tampa Bay

The Arnold & Winnie Palmer Foundation is grateful to partner with Feeding Tampa Bay in providing 100,000 meals to the Valspar Championship community, just #LikeArnie would. The 2020 Valspar Championship was canceled due to the Coronavirus, resulting in a loss of funds for nonprofits in the Tampa Bay Area. Feeding Tampa Bay is just one of many great organizations who fight hunger every day, bringing hope and real help to children and families.

In addition to traditional food bank services, Feeding Tampa Bay has a free full service restaurant, Trinity Café. They typically train displaced workers all while providing 2,000 hot meals weekly for their neighbors. In the past several weeks they have hired many furloughed restaurant workers giving them gainful employment while they prepare 40,000 hot meals a week. These meals are flash frozen and available to seniors who are not able to prepare their own meals. For the first time ever, these re-heatable meals are being delivered by Amazon, Uber Eats and Door Dash.

Mandy from Feeding Tampa Bay said, "Your support allows us to respond every day and in the middle of a crisis to serve more families, children and seniors. A mom of two was near tears thanking us for helping with meals for her children and the family. Similarly a senior, who drove to our facility on oxygen in need of a meal, said he wouldn’t survive without our help. We couldn’t do this without you! We so appreciate your support during this unprecedented response to the COVID19 crisis."
